#359 in the National Pokédex, Absol is the Disaster Pokémon, due to its ability to be able to sense oncoming cataclysm. Peoples of old mistook this prophetic quality as Absol being the cause natural events such as earthquakes and tsunamis, leading to it being labeled a Dark-type. More recently, Absol has been discovered to be quite calm, in reality attempting to warn people of the oncoming danger.
