Aparoids are a race of extremely powerful cyborg insects that function as a hivemind, with just one Aparoid being able to take out an entire Cornerian fleet. Aparoids have the ability to infect both organisms and machines, assimilating them into the Aparoid network. Now, they launch a full-scale invasion on the Lylat System, forcing long-time rivals Team Star Fox and Team Star Wolf to work together and annihilate the threat.
