#9 in the National Pokédex, Blastoise is a Shellfish Pokémon, having pressurized jets on its shell that are comparable to tank artillery, able to spray water with enough power to break through steel and enough precision to hit small targets at a distance of over 160 feet. Its large size compared to previous evolutions is necessary to withstand the recoil. Being the final form of Squirtle, it’s considered the definitive Water-type.
