While he is descended from a divine bloodline, Byrne is a practices dark magic, working with Chancellor Cole to revive the Demon King Malladus in search of more power. However, when his request isn’t granted, he helps Link and Zelda in the battle against evil, using his power to help Zelda reclaim her body.
