#4 in the National Pokédex, Charmander is the Lizard Pokémon, and one of the original starters alongside Squirtle and Bulbasaur. The flame on the end of its tail is a sign of its life force and emotions, burning brightly when healthy, waving when healthy, and blazing when enraged. Unfortunately, this means if the fire goes out, the Charmander is unable to live on. Being so linked to its flame naturally makes it a Fire-type. On the Saffron City stage, it will burn close-by fighters with Flamethrower.
