Chieftain of the Gorons, Darunia leads as a sort of big brother to all other Gorons. He honors Link with the title of Sworn Brother and the Goron’s Ruby once he defeats King Dodongo. After Ganondorf’s takeover, the King of Evil imprisons the Gorons in the Fire Temple. Working with the Darunia to save them, the Hero of Time awakened the Goron chieftain as the Sage of Fire. In Smash, Darunia is a Master of the Boulder Style, increasing Spirits’ defense and move speed, but lowering offense and jump height.
