Appearing as the noble steed of both the Hero of Time and the Hero of Twilight, Epona was originally just another mare on Lon Lon Ranch. However, after Link won her in a race with the ranch hand Ingo, Epona was forever tied to the Spirit of the Hero. Epona was also the name of Link’s horse in the Era of Twilight, where the two battled together against the Bulblins.
