A sentient block of ice, Freezies would ice the ground in the original Mario Bros., making platforms very slippery. Mario and Luigi would get frozen if they touched one, which is similar to what they do as an item. In Smash, you can pick up the Freezie and throw it an your foes to encase them in a flying icicle!
