Great Fairies are guardian spirits of Hyrule that bestow great health and bounty upon the worthy who find their fountains. In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Great Fairy of Magic teaches Link Nayru’s Love, Din’s Fire, and Farore’s Wind, spells which Zelda uses in Smash! In Termina, Skull Kid has split the Great Fairies into smaller Stray Fairies. Once restored, the Great Fairies gift magical abilities, upgrades, and even a special weapon!
