#658 in the National Pokédex, Greninja is a Ninja Pokémon, and the final evolution of starter Pokémon, Froakie. For a frog-like shinobi, it has a fitting dual-type of Water/Dark. It’s able to move faster than the naked eye, appearing to teleport when using Shadow Sneak or replacing itself with a Substitute to dodge an attack. Greninja’s signature move is Water Shuriken, creating throwing stars made of compressed water with the ability to cut through steel.
