Every Skyloftian has their own personal Loftwing, a symbol of protection from the Goddess Hylia. Skyloftians consider themselves one half a whole made complete by their Loftwing. The red one here is the Hero of the Skies’s. As the first hero, his Loftwing went on to inspire the red crest on the Hylian Shield.
