#249 in the National Pokédex, Lugia is the Diving Pokémon, so named due it nesting in the depths of ocean trenches. It does this to avoid causing great destruction, as a light flap of its wings is able to blow apart houses or cause 40-day-long storms, explaining why it is often sighted during rainstorms, gaining a reputation as the guardian of the seas. However, it lacks a Water typing, instead carrying a Psychic/Flying dual-type. It can be summoned in Smash, firing Aeroblast from the background.
