#52 in the National Pokédex, Meowth is the Scratch Cat Pokémon, and is naturally nocturnal. It is a Normal-type. Meowth has a love for shiny things and is often found sneaking through the night looking for change. If it finds something shiny the jewel on its head will shimmer. It has a chance to appear from Poké Balls. If so, it will use Pay Day, an attack where it throws a barrage of coins at the nearest opponent.
