A childhood friend of Marth, Merric left Altea to study magic in the bordering nation of Khadein. Through their studies, they have mastered the wind tome, Excalibur. During the War of Shadows, he sought out Marth’s army in order to lend his abilities as a Mage. He returned to Khadein afterwards, but was rescued by Marth after the nation became an enemy to Altea in the War of Heroes.
