After Ridley’s defeat in the first Metroid, the Space Pirates rebuilt him as Geoform 187: Meta Ridley. Infused with cybernetic enhancements like missiles and bombs, he was the penultimate boss in Metroid Prime, with his weak point being a thin chest plate that hides his exposed heart. In Smash, however, it’s just a costume for Ridley, fighting the same as ever.
