The first lady of the Mario series, Pauline was Mario’s girlfriend in the original Donkey Kong, caught in a love triangle between man and beast. Though she and Mario eventually split, they’re still on good terms. Pauline went on to become the mayor of New Donk City and a talented singer, with her debut “Jump Up, Super Star!” becoming an instant classic.
