Pokémon Trainers are exactly what they sound like: people who raise Pokémon as both friendly partners and fierce combatants. It’s the Pokémon Trainer who chooses what moves or items to use in battle. This trainer is the legendary Red from the Kanto region, and as such uses the starter Pokémon from that region, each in a different evolutionary stage: the starting Squirtle, the middle Ivysaur, and the powerful Charizard.
