Colony 9’s resident weapons expert, Shulk studied the legendary Monado blade, hoping to allow it to be wielded without harming the user. During a Mechon attack, Shulk was forced to use the sword, somehow uninjured. Granted visions of the future, Shulk quests to avenge those who died in the attack. In Smash, he uses the Monado’s power to augment his abilities, while using his foresight to counter.
