The stand-in for crabs in the Mushroom Kingdom, these crustaceans were first seen under the sewers of New Donk City in the original Mario Bros., which has a stage based on it in Smash! Their behavior there is the same as their game of origin: One hit will make it angry, the second will flip it over. In the original Mario Bros., that’s when you’d kick it over to defeat it, but in Smash you can pick it up and throw it at your opponents!
