A spaceman of mysterious origin, Tatanga was behind the invasion of Sarasaland during Super Mario Land. Tatanga is protected by his powerful warship, the Pagosu, armed with laser beams and bombs. Mario was only able to stop him using his own plane, the Sky Pop. Tatanga then worked with Wario to try and get revenge on the plumber, but was again unsuccessful.
