The basic Space Pirate, the rebuilt base on Zebes was crawling with these guys in Super Metroid. There are all kinds of different variations, but all of them can cling to walls. In Metroid: Other M, the Federation created cyberized versions of them, equipped with robotic weaponry. When infected with the X Parasite, Zebesians gain the ability to swim.
